Academic work: I spend a lot of time thinking about eighteenth-century literature, detective fiction, Victorian novels, eating in Modernist fiction, Sinitic linguistics, English narratives of China, contemporary Taiwanese writers, Southeast Asian language policy – among other things.
In 2014, I graduated from Oxford with First-Class Honours as an Academic Scholar and winner of the Bednarowska and Laurie Hart Prizes. I read English Literature and Language.
At present I am Knox Fellow at Harvard, where I’m completing a Master’s in Regional Studies: East Asia.
